Newport Cliff Walk Proposal

While I was born and raised in Rhode Island, Newport wasn’t a place I really frequented until I became a photographer. For those familiar with our wonderfully tiny state, anything over a 25 minute drive is a full day’s outing. Rather than spending all of that time in the car (read the sarcasm there), we preferred to find silly ways to make our own fun.

Nevertheless, I was absolutely thrilled when Frank reached out this past November about capturing him proposing to his (now) fiancée. We planned on meeting at The Chanler, a gorgeous hotel that sits right at the start of the Cliff Walk and where they were spending the weekend! My best friend was in town from Nashville for the weekend so I brought her along with me as a decoy, which ended up working out perfectly. The proposal went off without a hitch and we had such a fun time capturing some photos immediately after… even though it was about 20º.
